Hello fellow citizens. This was a good couple of weeks.
Quite busy. Switched comps back again to be with Elder Smith, the one
that had Napoleon's locker, and also has even better bow staff skills.
As a mission this Friday we did a 24 hour fast, and
contacted the streets all day. We didn't set up any lessons or anything.
We got out of the house at 8 and got back in at 7pm, and we did all our
contacting with a book of Mormon focus. It was
pretty different, but very cool. Also it was a success, and I think we
handed out over 1,000 copies as a mission.
Also this week we had a baptism, which went really well.
We had a lot of people at the baptism, as well as some with baptismal
dates which is important. Then after we had a branch activity, in which
everyone enjoyed/demanded me to dance like
an idiot to some Moldovan songs in front of everyone in the name of
"culture". It was actually pretty fun, and we did it as a district. They
were a wee bit nervous to dance and sing in front of many people but
when I put on my Moldovan doo-rag nothing could
stop me. Many told me they never saw a man dance and sing like that
without wine. Win.
Then church on Sunday was cool. I got to conduct the
music, and pass the sacrament, and set it up, as well as other things.
It is fun this way. Time flies when you're in charge of many people and
many things, and this is why I want 2 jobs and
10 children.
Spiritual thought is this: as a church we read the Isaiah
chapters in the Book of Mormon. If you didn't read it, fear, because
then you will learn that just being baptized and not drinking caffeine
won't save you. I wish I could show you the
graph that my mission President showed us. Essentially in the last days
it is THE SAINTS who will get cried repentance to.
So check yourself.
Vă iubesc pe voi
